A Mid-Missouri Destination

The floral shop, purchased in 1890 by Mr. Hugo Busch, a German immigrant, is known as the oldest continuously operating business in the Capital City. Additionally, Busch's greenhouse is one of the oldest West of the Mississippi. Both the floral shop and greenhouse recently underwent revitalization and are nestled in the heart of Jefferson City's Historic Germantown 'Old Munichburg' District, located on the Corner of Madison and Dunklin Streets. More than 130 years later, Busch's Florist and Greenhouse still welcomes guests through its shopfront doors. The greenhouse continues to function not only as a traditional hothouse but as a 'home and garden' retail and potting studio, as well as an event space.

Our Latest Addition

As of April 2023, Busch's Florist has opened a secondary location within Acola Coffee Company in the North Village Arts District of downtown Columbia, Missouri. This location is a flower bar and boutique gift shop proudly offering handtied bouquets, potted houseplants, locally-made candles, and artist-commissioned merchandise. When you visit Acola x Busch's, you will be encouraged to "Drink Coffee and Smell the Flowers."
